6.7 Growth of a the management team

Updates of our project were shared with our lecturer and she gave the idea of having a new member in our snack stand project. Also, she wanted us to give high recommendations in choosing a male member. This was because, our management team consists of all female members. And due to no male members, it was expected that there is a lack of the perspective of the male. As whole we could say that we did not have a gender balance in our project. This was a disappointment.

Then drops in the new member, Ismail Shareef. He was very interested in our project and keeps asking about the update of snack stand. At that time of the project we were searching for someone to develop our cash box. It was fortunate that he volunteered to prepare a cash box for us. All the expenses were funded by him and due to this commitment we saw from him, we thought of involving him in our management team. Now, he is our new executive procurement officer.

6.8 Meeting with the faculty Dean & Administrator for further permissions

After discussions about the final establishment of the snack stand, we identified that we need to get more permissions from Faculty of Science. We needed permission for electricity of the chiller and a space to mount the cash box. At first we met with the dean and we gave an update of our project status. And after discussing our needs the dean guided us to meet with an admin staff.

Later we arranged a meeting with an admin staff who is responsible with the facilities of the faculty. In this meeting we shared our project with the staff and we received full cooperation from her. She gave us the authorization to start the establishment of the snack stand as soon as possible. Furthermore, we received more good news from the faculty, like, the faculty is currently installing CCTVs and within few weeks the faculty is planning on providing Wi-Fi to all the floors of Faculty of Science. The CCTVs would be an opportunity for us to reduce the threat of people stealing any goods or cash from the snack stand.
